i used to live in the deserts of the middle east. while i was there, i became friends with a girl from europe and a girl from africa. we used to fantasize about having tea and crumpets in the weekends. one of them told me that if i ever started a web log, i should call it “love from leila”. and that is exactly what i did.

noting the negative example of augusta elton (neé hawkins), i picked up a skill after marrying—taking pictures—and my husband has in fact been my biggest encourager, carrier of gear, and buyer of lenses. you can see some of the results of never letting my camera leave my side at my flickr account.
